Not experienced with cameras but managed to set up and get some good hedgehog shots.
This is the third one of these cameras I’ve purchased. I’ve tried others but they just don’t seem to have the same quality and durability.
I use rechargeable AA batteries which seem to last 7-10 nights on video mode out in the garden. Top tip is to recharge when they reach 50%. At that level of charge the camera still records, but doesn’t power the infrared lights for night images.

Super product … thoroughly recommend.
So pleased with H40 model. It’s good value & only takes 4 AA batteries which last really well. Can now see our wood mice & hedgehog doing their rounds at night!!
Our first trail / wildlife cam and already giving us lots of pleasure to see that we get foxes and badgers into our garden. Clear pictures and esy set up makes this perfect for old timers like us.
This is my first wildlife camera so I can not compare to others but I can say that it does everything that I wanted it for which was to film my garden wildlife, mainly hedgehogs, mice, birds and our cat. I found it easy to set up (and I'm getting old now) and use, the picture quality for both Night time and Day time was very good with the only exception being the 30 mins when night changes to day when the picture wasn't quite so good. This camera takes less batteries than most that I looked at and so far after 2 weeks of use I haven't had to change them. It was also one of the cheapest named brands that I found. My only constructive critisism would be that it would have been better if I could have connected the camera directly to my PC or TV with a usb cable instead of having to remove the micro sd card to copy it on to my PC hard drive but I guess this might have increased to cost ??
